BIO

Martina Chandrakar (b. 1998, Bratislava) is a conceptual artist based in San Sebastián, Spain. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, her practice explores connections between psychology, neuroscience, metaphysics, and symbolic visual language. Her work also includes installation proposals that combine painting, sound, and lighting to create a broader spatial and conceptual experience.

Her artistic practice began during her studies in psychology and neuroscience at Maastricht University’s Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience. In a Critical Thinking course, she developed an early conceptual artwork based on Lewis Carroll’s The Hunting of the Snark. This project became the starting point for her continued exploration of abstract thought, inner experience, and philosophical themes through visual form.

Her subsequent work has included conceptual projects, packaging design, research visualization, and private commissions. Across these contexts, her practice has remained focused on conceptual interpretation and the visual communication of complex psychological and metaphysical ideas.
